Participants discussed the next step work plan and the problems that need to be solved urgently. Various departments stated that the Shaanxi Coal Phase II Project is a key project of each design unit, and will attach great importance to it, so as to implement responsibilities, strengthen resources, continuously strengthen, equip, and optimize all kinds of talents, conduct more research, learn more, and communicate more , go all out to promote related basic design work.

On January 4, 2023, Shaanxi Coal Group Yulin Chemical Co., Ltd.’s 15 million tons/year coal quality-based utilization project started project feeding and the 500,000 tons/year DMC project site commencement ceremony was successfully held.
Shaanxi Coal Group Yulin Chemical Co., Ltd.’s 15 million tons/year coal quality-based, clean and efficient conversion demonstration project will be constructed in two phases and four phases. It is planned to complete all construction content by the end of 2025. The olefins, aromatics and deep processing project is the second phase of the second phase of the 15 million tons/year coal separation, clean and efficient conversion demonstration project. The project will construct 13.5 million tons/year coal pyrolysis, powder coke gasification, methanol to olefins, coal tar hydrogenation, aromatics combination, coke oven gas production of LNG and other main devices and olefins, aromatics deep processing projects, as well as supporting public works and auxiliary facility. The total area of the project is 735.33 hectares, and the static total investment of the project is 96,524,971,500 yuan.
Shaanxi Coal Group Yulin Chemical Co., Ltd.’s demonstration project of coal quality utilization for chemical new materials is located in Qingshui Industrial Park, Yushen Industrial Zone. It is currently the largest coal chemical project under construction in the world. The total area of the Yulin Chemical Project is about 15.4 square kilometers. The total investment is about 231.5 billion yuan, and the annual conversion of coal is about 29 million tons. It includes 58 process devices and supporting public works, including 15 million tons (annual capacity, the same below) of medium and low temperature pyrolysis of coal, 5.6 million tons of methanol, 180 10,000 tons of ethylene glycol, 1.48 million tons of olefins, and downstream high value-added materials, battery electrolytes, degradable plastics and special oil products, etc.
