Evonik offers a wide range of additive products under the brand name TEGO® Cycle to help customers improve their production processes and improve the final quality of recycled plastics. TEGO® The Cycle additive portfolio not only helps reduce energy consumption during physical recycling, but also improves polymer quality, enabling the circular transformation of the plastics value chain.
How to better deal with plastic waste has become one of the main topics affecting future environmental development. Since 1950, the world has produced about 10 billion tons of plastic, more than half of which has been produced since 2000. Currently, the world produces about 400 million tons of plastic per year, about 40% of which is packaging material, yet only a small fraction is recycled - most plastic is only used once and then landfilled or incinerated, or even discarded directly in the environment middle.

Evonik's rich additive portfolio can be used in all stages of the physical recycling industry chain to convert waste plastics into recycled plastic products. In the cleaning stage, Evonik's defoamers and wetting agents can be used to increase the efficiency of steps such as washing, separation, and ink removal; dehydration aids help to significantly reduce energy consumption during the dehydration process. In the modification stage, Evonik's odor absorbers, compatibilizers, dispersants and processing aids help to improve the process and enhance polymer properties, resulting in significant cost advantages and higher quality recycled plastics.
In addition to TEGO® In addition to the Cycle portfolio, Evonik has launched a new organomodified silicone-based TEGOMER® polymer processing aid (PPA) that can replace standard PPAs made from fluoroelastomers during the processing of PE and PP.
Both TEGO® Cycle and the new organomodified siloxane-based TEGOMER® polymer processing aid (PPA) have been launched in the Chinese market simultaneously.
