In Minxian County, Gansu Province, villagers dig deep, level the ground, pull wires, release seedlings, and cover soil in the organic angelica plantation base. During the local period, 650,000 mu of Chinese herbal medicine seedlings including 300,000 mu of angelica will be planted.
It is understood that the alpine, cold and damp ecological environment in Minxian County has created unique advantages for the growth of Chinese medicinal materials, and the medicinal materials are exported to more than 20 countries and regions such as Southeast Asia, Europe and the United States. In recent years, the local area has vigorously promoted the organic and standardized planting of Chinese medicinal materials. Organic planting has achieved ecological balance. Not only has the soil quality improved, but the pests and diseases of medicinal materials have also decreased. At present, the green standardized planting rate of traditional Chinese medicinal materials in Minxian County has reached more than 85%, and the promotion rate of soil testing and formula fertilization technology and green prevention and control technology of diseases and insect pests has reached 90%.
