While strengthening hydrogen energy technology, China should also actively explore international hydrogen energy trade.
World Hydrogen Energy Technology Conference (WHTC) and World Hydrogen Energy Technology Conference (WHEC) are known as the "twin stars" in the field of hydrogen energy. The successful bid to host this conference is because my country is the world's largest hydrogen production and hydrogen consumption country. At the same time, the proposal of the "dual carbon" goal also gives hydrogen energy a good development opportunity in China.
Talking about the "going out" of China's hydrogen energy, Mao Zongqiang emphasized that we must attach importance to international hydrogen energy trade. "Hydrogen energy trade is not just hydrogen, but hydrogen technology, equipment, and hydrogen chemicals, as well as the development of the hydrogen energy vehicle market." He said that there are currently four important regions for the development of hydrogen energy in the world, namely For China, Northeast Asia, Europe and North America. The four regions have their own characteristics, and they can win-win in the trade of hydrogen energy. At the same time, Mao Zongqiang also advocated the fusion of hydrogen and electricity to build a new energy system with multi-energy complementarity.
Mao Zongqiang said that the International Hydrogen Energy Association, as an international academic organization, actively promotes the development and extension of hydrogen energy theory and technology. In 2022 alone, 100 issues of the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy will be issued, with a total of 42,292 pages.
