According to the data, from January to April, the delivery business volume of the postal industry has completed a total of 46.80 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 13.7%. Among them, the express business volume has completed 37.10 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 17.0%.
In the express delivery business, the cumulative volume of express delivery in the same city was 3.87 billion, an increase of 0.7% year-on-year; the volume of express delivery in different places was 32.37 billion, an increase of 18.5% year-on-year; A year-on-year increase of 54.1%.
From January to April, the business income of the postal industry (excluding the direct operating income of Postal Savings Bank) totaled 473.21 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.1%. Among them, the express business revenue accumulated to 351.44 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.2%. The proportions of express delivery business in the eastern, central and western regions were 76.0%, 16.2% and 7.8% respectively, and the proportions of business income were 76.3%, 14.1% and 9.6% respectively.
Zhao Chongjiu, director of China's State Post Bureau, said earlier that since the beginning of this year, the postal industry has been operating well, providing strong support for the overall improvement of the national economy.
