According to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs of China on the 17th, the import and export between China and the five Central Asian countries in the first four months was 173.05 billion yuan (RMB, the same below), a year-on-year increase of 37.3%. Among them, in April, the monthly import and export scale between China and the five Central Asian countries exceeded 50 billion yuan for the first time, reaching 50.27 billion yuan.
From the perspective of business entities, the import and export of Chinese private enterprises to the five Central Asian countries in the first four months was 110.88 billion yuan, an increase of 64.6%, accounting for 64.1% of the total import and export value between China and the five Central Asian countries, an increase of 10.6 percentage points year-on-year , and the vitality of trade with the five Central Asian countries has further increased.
In terms of exports, China exported 51.58 billion yuan of mechanical and electrical products to the five Central Asian countries in the first four months, a year-on-year increase of 68.3%, accounting for 45.2% of the total export value between China and the five Central Asian countries during the same period; exports of textiles, clothing, shoes, etc. Labor-intensive products were 47.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 75.2%, accounting for 41.6%.
In terms of imports, China imported 32.45 billion yuan of energy products such as coal, crude oil, and natural gas from the five Central Asian countries in the first four months, accounting for 55% of China's total imports from the five Central Asian countries during the same period.
In recent years, the economic and trade exchanges between China and Central Asian countries have become increasingly close, and China has become an important trading partner of Central Asian countries. According to official data, the trade volume between China and Central Asian countries in 2022 has reached the trade target of 70 billion US dollars ahead of schedule.
