In addition, the General Administration of Customs is also actively promoting the export of high-quality agricultural and food products such as grains, fruits, oilseeds, dairy products, and animal husbandry products from Central Asian countries to China. In order to promote the development of trade in agricultural and food products, the customs has continued to expand the "green channel" for rapid customs clearance of agricultural and sideline products, and has opened 8 "green channels" for rapid customs clearance of agricultural and sideline products for Central Asian countries, achieving full coverage of road ports.
According to the General Administration of Customs, it has promoted the establishment of a cooperation mechanism among competent departments of animal and plant quarantine, and will be committed to maintaining national biosecurity, strengthening regional joint prevention and control of cross-border animal and plant epidemics, joint control and technical exchanges, and promoting more high-quality and safe products. Agricultural and food products from Central Asian countries enter the Chinese market.
China is an important trading partner of Central Asian countries. According to Chinese statistics, China and the five Central Asian countries will achieve the trade target of US$70 billion ahead of schedule in 2022. From January to March this year, the trade volume increased by 22% year-on-year, showing a strong momentum of development. In 2022, China's imports of agricultural products, energy and mineral products from Central Asian countries will increase by more than 50% year-on-year.
