London, May 10 news: data on the London Metal Exchange (LME) website on Wednesday showed that Russian aluminum stocks in LME-registered warehouses stood at 256,125 tonnes, a slight drop in share from 53% in March. 52% in April.
LME aluminum inventories rose 27% so far this year to 570,150 tonnes.
The LME does not ban Russian metals from its trading and delivery system because Western countries do not impose sanctions on them or on major Russian producers such as aluminum producer Rusal or nickel and copper producer Nornickel.
As of April 30, Russian copper in LME-registered warehouses stood at 23,200 tonnes, down from 49% in March to 36%; nickel inventories fell to 7,170 tonnes, down from 21% to 20%.
