Hainan Baling SBCs (Styrenic Thermoplastic Elastomer) project is jointly funded by Sinopec Hainan Refining and Chemical Company and Baling Petrochemical Company, with a total investment of 1.924 billion yuan. It is a key project of Sinopec and Hainan Province. The project mainly builds a set of 170,000 tons/year styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer production equipment, including 120,000 tons/year of SBS products and 50,000 tons/year of SEBS products, including refining, polymerization, coagulation, recycling, additive preparation, post-processing Processing and other 13 units, as well as auxiliary production facilities and supporting public works.

This set of equipment adopts clean production technology, and can produce SBCs products with different performances and brands through switching operations, flexibly responding to the market, and meeting the differentiated and customized needs of customers. The Hainan Baling SBCs project is a key project of Sinopec based on the overall layout of the SBCs industry. It can make full use of the advantages of Hainan Free Trade Port to sell products to emerging export markets such as Europe, Southeast Asia, and South Asia.
