On January 1, 2022, the "Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement" (RCEP) will come into effect. Wang Linjie, spokesperson of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, said that since the implementation of RCEP, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade has guided and supported localities, industries and enterprises to seize opportunities, expand trade and investment cooperation with RCEP member countries, and promote the continuous release of dividends from the agreement. At present, the national trade promotion system has held more than 200 RCEP forums and training sessions, benefiting hundreds of thousands of people.
"As RCEP is about to take full effect in 15 member countries, the RCEP certificate of origin is welcomed by more and more companies, and it has also brought tangible benefits to my country's foreign trade companies to "go overseas" to stabilize orders and expand markets. "Wang Linjie said that in the first quarter of this year, the national trade promotion system RCEP certificate of origin visa amounted to US$1.639 billion, a year-on-year increase of 46.76%; the number of visas totaled 45,700, a year-on-year increase of 105.54%.
From January to March this year, the national trade promotion system issued a total of 1,336,300 certificates of origin, ATA certificates, and business certificates, an increase of 11.32% over the previous year.
"Judging from the commercial certification data of the national trade promotion system in the first quarter, my country's foreign trade import and export has shown a stable start and a positive development trend month by month. The vitality of my country's foreign trade business entities has been significantly enhanced. China has become a new growth point of foreign trade. I believe that as my country's economic operation continues to improve as a whole, the good momentum of foreign trade is expected to continue." Wang Linjie said.
