In December 2014, the Hanas Putian LNG receiving station project was successfully signed at the project signing ceremony of the 18th Minning Cooperation Joint Meeting, and was included in the national "13th Five-Year Plan for Natural Gas Development". On December 14, 2021, the project was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission, marking a new major step for Minning cooperation, which began to change from one-way investment to two-way mutual assistance, which is of great significance in promoting the deepening cooperation between the east and the west.
According to reports, the Hanas Putian LNG receiving terminal project will start construction in May this year. The construction site of the project is located in Dongwu Port Area, Meizhou Bay Port, Putian City, with a total annual receiving capacity of 10 million tons and a total investment of 12 billion yuan. It will be constructed in two phases. After the project is fully completed and put into operation, the annual supply of natural gas will reach 14 billion cubic meters, which can meet the annual gas consumption of about 70 million households, and can replace nearly 17 million tons of coal per year. The annual output value can reach 30 billion to 45 billion yuan.
Among them, the first phase of the project has an annual LNG receiving capacity of 5.65 million tons and an investment of 5.26 billion yuan. It will be completed and put into operation in 2026. After it is put into operation, the annual supply of natural gas will reach 8 billion cubic meters, which can meet the annual consumption of about 40 million households. The amount of gas can replace nearly 10 million tons of coal per year.
