The ship is the fourth-generation ultra-large liquefied gas carrier independently developed and designed by Jiangnan Shipbuilding. Jiangnan Shipbuilding said that compared with the same type of domestic and foreign products, the ship has a strong competitive advantage in terms of ship performance: it is the first time to apply the self-developed and innovatively designed rudder ball energy-saving device technology, which makes the ship's speed ahead of the international advanced Level; for the first time, the national production of low-temperature steel has been realized, and the procurement cycle has been greatly shortened; using dual-fuel power, the fuel range has reached 23,000 nautical miles, and the fuel consumption and gas consumption levels are leading the international level, meeting the latest emission requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
It is understood that the ultra-large liquefied gas carrier is a typical "three high" (high technology, high difficulty, high value-added) ship type in the global shipbuilding market today, and has been monopolized and technically blocked by Japanese and Korean shipping companies for a long time. After more than ten years of dedicated research, Jiangnan Shipbuilding has achieved continuous innovation in R&D, design, and construction, filling the gap in China's field of ultra-large liquefied gas carriers.
Since 2012, Jiangnan Shipbuilding has received a total of 52 orders for ultra-large liquefied gas carriers, including 14 orders for ships with a capacity of 93,000 cubic meters. At present, Jiangnan Shipbuilding has a global market share of 24.7% in the field of ultra-large liquefied gas carriers.
