Foreign news on April 24, a preliminary survey released on Monday showed that US crude oil and refined oil inventories were expected to decline last week.

On average, the five analysts surveyed estimated that U.S. crude oil inventories were expected to fall by about 1.7 million barrels in the week ended April 21.

The American Petroleum Institute (API) will release the industry version of the crude oil inventory report at 4:30 Beijing time on Wednesday, and the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) will release the official weekly crude oil inventory report at 22:30 Beijing time on Wednesday.

U.S. crude inventories fell by 4.6 million barrels in the week ended April 14 to 466 million barrels, more than four times analysts' forecast for a draw of 1.1 million barrels.

Distillate stockpiles, which include diesel and heating oil, are seen falling by about 1 million barrels in the week ended April 21, while gasoline inventories are seen falling by about 1.5 million barrels.

The survey showed refinery capacity utilization was expected to rise 0.4 percentage points last week, from 91.0% in the week ended April 14.
