The National Bureau of Statistics released information on April 18 that in March 2023, the national power generation capacity was 717.3 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 5.1%, and the growth rate was 4.4 percentage points faster than that in January-February, with an average daily power generation of 23.14 billion kwh hour.

In March this year, thermal power turned from a decline to an increase, the growth rate of nuclear power and solar power generation accelerated, the growth rate of wind power dropped, and the decline in hydropower expanded. Among them, thermal power increased by 9.1% year-on-year, and fell by 2.3% in January-February; nuclear power increased by 4.6%, and the growth rate was 0.3 percentage points faster than that in January-February; wind power increased by 0.2%, and the growth rate was 30.0% lower than that in January-February. ; Solar power generation increased by 13.9%, and the growth rate was 4.6 percentage points faster than that in January-February; hydropower decreased by 15.5%, and the decline rate was 12.1 percentage points higher than that in January-February.

In terms of varieties, in March, the absolute power generation of thermal power was 514.6 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 9.1%; the absolute power generation of hydropower was 68.4 billion kwh, a year-on-year decrease of 15.5%; An increase of 0.2%; nuclear power was 36.6 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 4.6%; absolute solar power generation was 24.3 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 13.9%.

Cumulatively speaking, from January to March 2023, the country's absolute power generation capacity will be 2,071.2 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 2.4%.

In terms of varieties, from January to March, the absolute power generation capacity of thermal power was 1,495.1 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 1.7%; hydropower was 203.5 billion kwh, a year-on-year decrease of 8.3%; %; nuclear power generation was 103.3 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 4.4%; solar power generation was 61.2 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 11.8%.
