In order to do a good job in the carbon peaking work in the industrial field, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, the Development and Reform Commission, and the Department of Ecology and Environment have recently jointly issued and implemented the "Zhejiang Provincial Carbon Peaking Implementation Plan in the Industrial Field".
The "Implementation Plan" proposes that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, positive progress has been made in the optimization of the province's industrial structure and energy consumption structure, the utilization efficiency of energy resources has been greatly improved, and a batch of low-carbon and zero-carbon negative energy products with significant emission reduction effects have been developed, demonstrated, and promoted. Carbon technology, process and equipment products, organize the implementation of energy-saving and carbon-reduction technological transformation, and build a solid foundation for carbon peaking in the industrial field. By 2025, the energy consumption per unit of industrial added value above the designated size will be reduced by more than 16% compared with 2020, and we will strive to reduce it by 18%; carbon dioxide emissions per unit of industrial added value will be reduced by more than 20% (excluding nationally listed projects); key areas will reach the benchmark level of energy efficiency. The proportion reaches 50%; build 500 green low-carbon factories and 50 green low-carbon industrial parks.
The "Implementation Plan" also proposes that during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, the layout of the industrial structure will be further optimized, and the intensity of industrial energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions will continue to decline. and capabilities, and basically establish a modern industrial system characterized by high efficiency, greenness, recycling, and low carbon. Ensure that carbon dioxide emissions in the industrial sector peak before 2030.
