On February 14, the commencement ceremony of the olefin new material technology demonstration project was held. The project covers an area of 1,600 mu, with a planned total investment of 11.6 billion yuan, mainly for the construction of 400,000 tons of FDPE per year and 200,000 tons of
EVA and other 5 sets of equipment produce high-end olefin new materials such as full-density polyethylene and polypropylene. The technology is world-leading and the products fill the domestic gap.
Specifically, the project adopts the advanced technologies of companies such as Basel, Repsol, and Univine, and mainly builds 400,000 tons of full-density polyethylene (FDPE) and 400,000 tons of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) annually. , 350,000 tons of polypropylene (PP), 200,000 tons of vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), 200,000 tons/450,000 tons of propylene oxide/styrene (PO/SM) and other 5 sets of equipment to produce full density polyethylene, High-end olefin new materials such as polypropylene, including high-end metallocene polyethylene special materials, high-end polyethylene injection molding special materials, multi-modal polyethylene film special materials and high-performance polyethylene pipe special materials, some products will break foreign monopoly and realize import substitution , after reaching full capacity, it can realize an annual output value of 16 billion yuan and a tax revenue of 1.7 billion yuan.
Marked by the start of the project, Dongming Petrochemical plans to expand the entire park from the current 8 square kilometers to 20 square kilometers within five years, with an output value exceeding 300 billion yuan and a tax revenue of 15 billion yuan.
The scale of Dongming’s high-end chemical industry will exceed 200 billion
In the northern functional area, relying on Dongming Petrochemical, Risun Group and other key enterprises, Dongming planned and implemented Jinhai Chemical’s comprehensive utilization of 1 million tons of resources, Risun Chemical’s 350,000 tons of cyclohexanone capacity expansion, and CITIC Guoan’s light aromatics joint production. The batch of “big heads” projects has now entered a concentrated harvest period. This year, it will add 16.5 billion yuan in operating income and 4.4 billion yuan in profits and taxes.
At the same time, based on chain extension, supplementary chain, and strong chain, Dongming Petrochemical has also planned and implemented key projects such as the 300,000-ton UPC technology test project and the 600,000-ton olefin new material technology demonstration project. These projects will form a huge investment pulling effect and help Push the scale of Dongming’s high-end chemical industry to break through 200 billion.
High-end olefin project dynamics
1. The HDPE plant of Jinhai Chemical was successfully started up at the first time
On March 9, the extruder of the 400,000 tons/year high-density polyethylene unit of Shandong Jinhai Chemical’s 1 million tons/year comprehensive utilization project of young hydrocarbons successfully produced qualified products, marking the full opening of the production process.
The device adopts the process package of Basel Company in Germany, uses hexane as solvent, and produces high-density polyethylene products through polymerization reaction of raw materials under the action of catalyst.
Jinhai Chemical’s 1 million tons/young hydrocarbon comprehensive utilization project is located in Dongming County, Heze, Shandong Province, with a total investment of 15 billion yuan and an area of 1,300 mu. 2. 300,000 tons/year UPC technology test project started
On December 7, 2022, the commencement ceremony of Dongming Petrochemical’s 300,000-ton/year UPC technology test project was held.
The UPC technology test project adopts the crude oil super catalytic cracking to olefins (UPC) technology jointly developed with China University of Petroleum (East China). The technology has passed the industrial test and verification, and has the advantages of low energy consumption, high yield and short process. It has passed the technical appraisal participated by three academicians and ten well-known experts in the industry. Compared with the traditional “refining and chemical integration” process, the production of ethylene of the same scale can reduce the consumption of crude oil by about 60%.
The promotion and application of UPC technology can not only meet the domestic demand for high-end chemical raw materials, replace imports, but also solve the problem of excess refined oil, which can significantly enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of my country’s petrochemical industry, effectively relieve the pressure of my country’s crude oil imports, and help maintain national energy security .
