In the first quarter of 2023, Thailand exported a total of 723,000 tons of natural rubber (excluding compound rubber), a year-on-year decrease of 22%. Among them, the total export of standard rubber was 364,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 20%; the export of smoked sheet rubber was 105,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 26%; the export of latex was 249,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 20%.
In the first quarter, the total amount of natural rubber exported to China was 305,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.9%. Among them, standard rubber exports to China totaled 156,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 12%; smoked sheet rubber exports to China totaled 28,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 56%; latex exports to China totaled 120,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 14%.
In the first quarter, Thailand exported a total of 582,000 tons of mixed rubber, a sharp increase of 71% year-on-year; the total export of mixed rubber to China was 579,000 tons, a sharp increase of 72% year-on-year.
On the whole, in the first quarter, Thailand exported a total of 1.305 million tons of natural rubber and mixed rubber, an increase of 2.9% year-on-year; a total of 884,000 tons were exported to China, an increase of 36% year-on-year.
