Trinseo plans to close more operations in Europe and a plant in the US

On August 23, Trinseo said it planned to close more operations in Europe and a factory in the United States.

The closure is part of a restructuring plan approved by the management team on August 17. It includes the following:

Closure of a plant for the production of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) cast sheets in Bronderslev, Denmark.

Closure of a PMMA extruded sheet line in Rho, Italy.

Closure of a bulk polyester pallet foundry in Belen, New Mexico, USA.

The plan will also cut staff to streamline its general and administrative operations. Trinseo should complete most of the restructuring plan by the end of 2024.
