Henkel Appoints Pernille Lind Olsen President North America

Recently, Henkel announced the appointment of Pernille Lind Olsen as President of North America.

Pernille Lind Olsen also serves as the company’s Senior Vice President of Adhesive Technologies for Packaging and Consumer Goods and Head of Adhesive Technologies for North America. She succeeds Steven Essick, who retired after 27 years at Henkel, as President of Henkel North America. Pernille Lind Olsen will be based at Henkel’s Adhesive Technologies North America headquarters in Bridgewater, New Jersey.

Pernille Lind Olsen said: “I am delighted to take on this role and, together with my leadership team and colleagues across the region, will continue to build on our strong position in North America, delivering innovative products and sustainable solutions to help customers Solve the most pressing challenges and improve consumers’ lives.

Pernille Lind Olsen joined Henkel in January 2022 as Corporate Vice President Adhesive Technologies, leading the global metals business. PernilleLind Olsen spent eight years at global coatings supplier Hempel A/S as Group Product and Portfolio Director, Group Vice President for South and East Asia and most recently, Group Vice President for Europe and Africa different jobs. During her tenure in both regions, she was a member of the Operations Management Committee of Hempel Group Corporation. Before that, she started her career with Novozymes and held various positions both locally and globally.

With extensive global market knowledge and business development experience, Pernille Lind Olsen is well-positioned to lead Henkel North America with entrepreneurial and strategic thinking. With a background in leading diverse and high-performing teams, she will enable the Henkel North America team to deliver value to customers and drive growth across industries and markets.

Pernille Lind Olsen has a master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen.
