Jiutai Group signed a cooperation agreement with Honeywell

On December 12, the signing ceremony of the cooperation between Jiutai Group and Honeywell Global Oil Products Company to produce 300,000 tons of green methanol into 100,000 tons of green aviation kerosene and the methanol to olefins catalyst contract was held in Shanghai. Liu Maoshu, Vice President of Honeywell Performance Materials and Technology Group and General Manager of Asia Pacific Region, and Cui Lianguo, Chairman of the Group, attended the signing ceremony.

At the signing ceremony, Vice President Liu Maoshu and Chairman Cui Lianguo signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties. He also stated that the two parties will deeply explore cooperation in related fields, accelerate the progress of the green methanol-to-green aviation kerosene project, promote carbon emission reduction in China’s aviation industry, and achieve green, low-carbon, and sustainable development of the industry.

In order to extend the industrial chain and enhance the value chain, Jiutai Group has developed liquid hydrogen, BDO, PBAT, polyethylene glycol, etc. in a deep and high value-added direction based on 1 million tons of ethylene glycol, advanced main process technology and rich intermediate products. Coal-based special fuels such as glycolic acid, coal-based biodegradable materials and other projects. The first is to use the advanced acetylenic BDO technology at home and abroad to produce 300,000 tons of BDO/year, and further expand the industrial chain with BDO as the core raw material, using the one-step esterification method to produce 60,000 tons/year of degradable plastics PBS/PBAT, The acetic anhydride-alcoholysis method is used to produce 60,000 tons/year of high-end polyether PTMEG. The total investment in the project is about 3.3 billion yuan. Construction will start in May 2022. It is planned to be completed and put into production in May 2024. After completion and production, it is expected to achieve sales revenue of 10 billion yuan and profits and taxes of 3 billion yuan. The second is to use the abundant tail hydrogen resources in existing devices and combine it with AP Company’s advanced hydrogen purification, liquefaction and storage and transportation technology to build a liquid hydrogen project with an annual output of 10,000 tons. The total project investment (including hydrogenation stations) is 1.15 billion yuan. By 2022 Construction started in May 2020 and is planned to be completed and put into production in 2024. After full production, it is expected to support the operation of approximately 2,000 fuel cell vehicles, focusing on active deployment in application scenarios such as heavy truck transportation and urban public transportation.
