Member of Japan Toyo Ink Group, Brazil Toyo Ink Co., Ltd. today An upgraded range of high-performance polyurethane surface and lamination inks for flexo and gravure printing is launched. The company offers a wide range of products ranging from general purpose snack packaging structures to high end retort and hot fill packaging applications.
Sergio Pera, director of Toyo Ink Brazil, said: "Since Latin America is a key region for flexible packaging, we are planning to expand our presence in this important market. Can provide greater convenience, stronger The demand for barrier and lighter weight materials, as well as faster printing packaging solutions continues to grow. To this end, we have been working closely with customers to improve our range of polyurethane resin inks to meet their needs for more Requirements for multi-function and performance.
Toyo Ink Brazil's new line of polyurethane laminating inks includes general-purpose LIOTECH® solvent-based flexographic and gravure printing. From general purpose to those high-end retort applications that require good material resistance, the company has LIOVALUE? solvent-based gravure, REXTA? solvent-based flexo, AQUAECOL? Flexographic printing. Based on the group's unique dispersion system, Brazil Toyo Ink's polyurethane series offers high color density for a wider color gamut while maintaining good bond strength at all times.
The new series of inks also utilize the company's advanced polyurethane resin cross-linking technology, enabling converters to design packaging structures with excellent heat resistance, content resistance and low solvent retention. These systems are ideal for printing on a wide range of substrates, such as corona-treated OPP, PET and nylon, without the need for primers or any other chemical treatments.
Furthermore, based on the low glass transition temperature of the special polyurethane resin, Toyo Ink Brazil was able to develop inks with good stress relaxation capabilities. As temperature changes during retort expand or contract the different layers in the laminated package, good stress relaxation capabilities are critical to avoid delamination.
