Hexion Introduces New Polyester Resin for Powder Coatings

It is understood that the branded resin products developed by Hexion comply with strict international standards, and a new product line of powder coating resins with weather resistance and low-temperature curing has been launched to the North American market.

According to the company's introduction, through the new sales channel, Albester brand super weather-resistant polyester resin, Albecor LTC brand low-temperature curing polyester and hydroxyl-terminated polyester can be provided to customers in Canada and the United States.

Hexion's Albester brand of polyester resins is known for its weather resistance, and this product line, including pure polyester resin systems, can meet strict international standards, such as Qualicoat, AMAA and GSB. Its curing includes TGIC and non-TGIC systems. In addition, the company also provides hydroxyl-terminated polyester resins for non-volatile polyurethane systems, which can play special functions such as anti-graffiti.

The design of this product line has fully considered the customer's demand for high-performance, environmentally friendly polyester resins, and can be used to design and develop powder coating products that cure at low temperature, reduce carbon dioxide emissions, and have weather resistance.

In addition, the resin also has high reaction selectivity and excellent leveling performance, no volatilization during the coating process, the coating has good mechanical properties and outdoor performance, and can be used for both high-gloss products and low-gloss products.
