Wacker Chemie (located in Munich, Germany) has released an innovative hydrophilic fabric softener for textile processing in factories. The new product named WETSOFT NE 750 can not only improve the softness of the fabric, but also ensure that the product has sufficient water absorption. This is especially important for towels and other processed materials that require water absorption. Silicone fluid formulations themselves are water-free concentrates, but only need to be diluted with water to create ready-to-use emulsifiers. Products added with WETSOFT NE 750 are high-end products of high-quality textiles, which can bring users an extremely soft and pleasant use experience, and have strong water absorption.
The drip test in the picture above proves that the fabric with WETSOFT NE 750 is extremely absorbent. In the test, even if the towel has been folded multiple times, the lotion can still fully penetrate the bottom of the fabric, and the water absorption effect is excellent. Not a problem with re-dyed materials either. The main chemical composition of WETSOFT NE 750 is a block copolymer based on amino-functional silicone resin and polyethylene glycol. On the one hand, the silicone liquid can circulate freely outside the fabric, effectively reducing the friction between fibers. This allows the fabric to retain its excellent softness even after washing. Polyethylene glycol, on the other hand, ensures the water permeability of silicone finishes which are inherently water repellent.
Softness and water absorption are essential for high-quality textiles. Materials treated with WETSOFT NE 750 quickly absorb moisture from the skin and hair. Compared with traditional fabric softeners, the special molecular structure of WETSOFT NE 750 can greatly enhance the water absorption of materials. Subsequent processing of textiles is also important for manufacturers, including re-dyeing and coloring, and fabrics treated with this product are also easier to handle.
WETSOFT NE 750 also adds important advantages to textile auxiliaries. Hydrophilic fabric softener is a high solids, non-aqueous concentrate. The product is self-emulsifying and can be diluted with water at a ratio of 1:1 to 1:5 to form a stable emulsion, which makes the product easier to deploy. The user obtains a stable emulsion combining the typical properties of microemulsions and macroemulsions. Hydrophilic fabric softeners can be used on towels, woven textiles, or knitted fabrics made by absorbing or filling methods. In addition, cotton and blends containing polyester can be processed with this product.
