Dunkin Donuts, the largest coffee dessert chain giant in the United States, is testing a polypropylene coffee cup to replace the polystyrene foam cups used for many years, because polypropylene cups can greatly improve the recycling rate.

The manufacturer is Berry Plastics Group Inc.

Dunkin Donuts said it hopes to launch new polypropylene cups in the next 2-3 years, but the specific plan needs to be determined according to the test results.

The company is also testing a double-wall paper cup.
