Royal DSM, the global leader in engineering plastics production, announced at a press conference a few days ago that the company has successfully developed an innovative heat-resistant PA, which is specially designed for the field of auto parts production.
It is reported that this new PA named Diablo will be officially unveiled at the German Plastics Processing Exhibition (Fakuma) on October 14-18.
According to DSM, the advent of Diablo has further enriched the company's heat-resistant engineering plastic product family. Previously, the company has successfully launched heat-resistant Stanyl PA 46 and Akulon PA6.
According to the researchers, Diablo PA is extremely heat-resistant and can work in high-temperature environments as high as 250°C. It is an ideal material for the production of automotive engine components, intake manifolds, ventilation pipes and coolers.
In addition to the automotive industry, DSM's heat-resistant PA combination is also widely used in electronic appliances, oil tanks and other terminal fields. The company's StanylPA46 has been successfully applied to LED lamp tube radiators. In addition, DSM will also join forces with Covess to create thermoplastic composite oil and gas tanks for the natural gas industry. It is reported that this kind of oil tank is not only light in weight, but also has low carbon emissions, energy saving and environmental protection.
Royal DSM Group is based on science and technology, and is active in the fields of health, nutrition and materials on a global scale. DSM has expertise in the fields of life sciences and materials science, and uses the unique combination of the two to continuously promote economic prosperity, environmental improvement and social progress, and create sustainable value for all stakeholders.
