PolyOne Introduces New Products That Can Create More PET Effects

PolyOne Corp.'s InVisio line of color services and solutions has added a shimmer and frost effect colorant.

This new liquid masterbatch can be used in PET containers to create effects such as iridescent gradients and unique surface appearances to help differentiate brands in beverage, personal care and houseware containers.

Utilizing the company's ColorMatrix liquid pigment dispersion technology, the new masterbatches are available in ten standard formulations as well as custom pigments and can be produced using conventional gloss preform and blow molds. Different ColorMatri levels have varying degrees of reflectivity, translucency, and pronounced texture.
