Product prices are mainly based on the main MDI market prices in East China in 2018, including pure MDI and Aggregate the monthly average price of MDI, and take the two price contribution ratios to calculate the average price of the MDI market in 2018. The cost mainly considers the cost of raw materials, labor costs and unit energy consumption. The cost of raw materials is calculated based on the unit consumption of raw materials and the monthly average price of raw materials in 2018, of which the cost of raw materials accounts for about 65% of the total cost.
Comparison of market prices and costs of domestic MDI companies in 2018
Looking specifically at the Chinese MDI market in 2018, the price of pure MDI remains high, but Polymeric MDIThe price plummeted, and the overall average price fluctuated in the range of 14,000 yuan/ton-28,000 yuan/ton. In terms of cost, other costs such as energy, depreciation, and labor are relatively stable, and the raw material mainly refers to the price of pure benzene. In 2018, pure benzene fluctuated in the range of 5,300 yuan/ton to 7,200 yuan/ton, and the average price did not change much compared with 2017. As shown in the figure above, the overall gross profit per ton of MDI from January to August 2018 remained above 10,000 yuan/ton, and the profit per ton from September to December continued to decline, and fell to 5,000 yuan/ton in December. On the whole, the profit of manufacturers in 2018 may not be as good as expected, but the overall profit is still maintained in a good state.
